I bought this BMW R60/2 in 2008 in Hurricane, WV in 2008.  It was a mess and needed restoring.  The owner I bought it from got it from his high school teacher, the original owner, in 1977.

I decided to have it restored in 2012.  I took it Rex at Brit bike repair in Franklinton, NC.  The rebuild consisted of a  total top and bottom end rebuild, Slingers cleaned and all motor bearings and seals replaced, new rings and honed cylinders, new top end valve work, new valve covers, new coil from Germany, halogen conversion 6v headlight, LED bulb in taillight, new chrome exhaust from Germany, new albert mirrors, powder coated frame and fenders. All new rubber components, new wiring harness.  I put less than 100 miles on it since restoration and haven’t ridden it much since and was parked in a garage.Bike had 17,000 miles on it before I sent Speedo off to be rebuilt and turned back to 0.   Bike comes with clear Kentucky Title and registration. original denfeld seat, original advance, etc.. Also has tire pump, steering lock key, and partial tool kit,  . The R60/2 starts right up w/ 1 kick.  Performs flawlessly, engine is very quiet. Gets lots of admiration. In excellent restored condition, it is a one kick ready to ride bike. Matching 1963 R60/2 triple Matching engine, ID tag & frame numbers. Please contact me at if you have any questions, and you are welcome to come over to inspect the bike. It‘s buyer’s responsibility to pick up the bike and all the parts. cashiers check due at time of pick up within 7 days.  We can discuss payment also.  Can assist with shipping if you do all the legwork, otherwise Local pickup ONLY.

BMW Unveils E-Scooter Concept

Fri, 01 Jul 2011

As we expected BMW has revealed information about a new scooter model, releasing pictures of a new electric maxi-scooter concept. The BMW E-Scooter was developed with funding form Germany’s Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Urban Development. The E-Scooter was created with two goals in mind: to offer performance comparable to a 600cc combustion engine-powered maxi-scooter and to offer sufficient range for an urban commuter. BMW wanted the E-Scooter to provide enough power and speed for freeway passing and climbing steep slopes even with a pillion passenger.

Victory VS. BMW Police Bike Challenge + Video

Wed, 02 Apr 2014

A notice to any potential law breakers out there: Victory is getting in on the police bike business. Using stock Cross Country models modified with only lights and sirens, the Victorys may not be as ill-equipped for chases (at least slow speed, parking lot chases) as you might think. Just check out this video below for proof.

30th Anniversary Edition BMW K1300S Announced for EICMA

Thu, 25 Oct 2012

BMW announced it will mark the 30th anniversary of its K series with a special edition K1300S. The 2013 BMW K1300S “30 Jahre K-Modelle” will be presented at the 2012 EICMA show in Milan, Italy in a couple of weeks’ time. Though perhaps not as popular as BMW‘s R series boxer models, the K series served as a platform for a number of technologies that were either new for BMW or new for the motorcycle industry.
