BMW Other description

2013 BMW K 1600 GTL, The bike is absolutely everything you have read, it IS the ultimate in advanced sport touring. At night, the adaptive headlight will make you laugh out loud, as well as the performance, both incredible. Power is awesome and smooth, large amounts of torque available in any gear, quick passing is just a thought. Comes with the new GPS, engine guards, top box, side luggage, a year subscription to Sirrus radio, AM/FM/NOAA, iPhone and digital audio player connections, integrated Bluetooth and the newer designed fog lights that come through the fairing and not on the long bar that winds around and comes from the engine. Regarding the Fog Lights, if you are going to make such a substantial investment, why pay the same price for a bike with the early-2012 fog light design?, invest in the latter-2013 designed fog lights. They are purposefully integrated and look much better than the early-2012 design, which IMHO look vulnerable (stick-out), less rigid and an engineering add-on afterthought, for the same price and on a bike such as this, arrive in style with the latest (and current) design. Includes installed Cal-Sci windscreen, and the OEM windscreen (helmet not included). The bike is showroom fresh and it's had it's 800km fluid changes all around. I wish this deal was around when I bought this new, it's to your benefit if you are looking for one. I had an Iron-Butt participant tell me this bike is cheating , yea, it's definitely cheating. Absolutely no unsightly scratches, gouges or drops. $22,500.00 8284237486

The BMW-Powered Recumbent Motorcycle

Wed, 24 Jul 2013

As a lover of two wheels, I like to pedal my bicycle to stay in shape when I’m not riding a motorcycle. And in the bicycle world, much like the motorcycle world, there’s a subset of riders who often get snarky looks from the rest of us. Few are more polarizing than those riding recumbent bicycles — you know, the ones where you’re practically laying down while pedaling.

FIM to Revise WSBK Homologation Requirements

Fri, 17 Jan 2014

The International Motorcycling Federation is considering modifying its homologation requirements for the World Superbike Championship following Bimota‘s somewhat surprising plans to re-enter the series. Under current regulations, manufacturers must produce a minimum number of motorcycles for it to be eligible to compete in the production-based WSBK championship. The official regulations currently require a minimum of 125 units produced for an initial homologation inspection, 500 units produced by June 30 of the current year, 1,000 units by the end of the current year and 2,000 units by the end of the following year.
