Mon, 23 Apr 2012The Netherlands hosted a dramatic weekend of World Superbike racing that featured a red-flagged wet race, several riders crashing while leading, a first-time race winner, a photo finish between two teammates and the reigning World Champion finishing out of the points because of a poor choice of tires. The 2011 WSBK Champion Carlos Checa arrived at Assen with the lead in the championship and a three-race winning streak, but opting to run wet tires in Race Two cost him the lead and may have contributed to a crash that severely injured Liberty Racing‘s Brett McCormick. 40,000 bikers to descend on Garmisch-Partenkirchen
Fri, 01 Jun 201240,000 bikers are expected to head to the Bavarian town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen during the first week of July for the annual BMW Motorrad Days event and you can join them. Billed as a celebration of all things two-wheeled and BMW, the event gives you a chance to test ride all the current BMW Motorrad and Husqvarna models and see stunt-riding world champion Chris Pfeiffer and meet the BMW World Superbike riders. BMW have organised a UK rideout to the event and with over 200 places taken so far, time's running out to book your slot.
S1000RR vs. Goodwood
Sat, 20 Mar 2010And before you say it, no it's not "Start and finish a journey on two wheels without falling off." I rode up Goodwood's hill. And I did it on BMW's mighty S1000RR. Ok, so it wasn't infront of thousands of on-lookers and it wasn't at any great speed.
