The clutch is smaller and mounted directly on the crankshaft which means less heat and stress on the plate. A feisty, fuel injected, easy-starting engine that's mounted forward in a stainless steel, cradle-less frame puts serious, power to the ground, while an extra-long swingarm creates unstoppable traction. Add a gas tank under the seat for a lower center of gravity, no linkage Ohlin's shock, and a forward-mounted airbox, and this is a 450 cubic centimeter thumper that stands alone as the most original machine to hit the dirt in years. Jeremy Burgess Out and Silvano Galbusera In as Valentino Rossi’s Crew Chief

Valentino Rossi has parted ways with longtime crew chief Jeremey Burgess, ending a partnership that extended across 14 years and three different manufacturers while capturing seven MotoGP and 500cc Grand Prix World Championships. Burgess will be replaced by Louis CK lookalike Silvano Galbusera, a veteran crew chief and mechanic whose most extensive experience comes from World Superbike and Supersport racing. As crew chief and/or technical director, Galbusera has worked with an impressive roster of riders including Troy Corser, Noriyuki Haga, Cal Crutchlow and Ben Spies.

BMW has released the new System 6 Evo flip-front helmet. It retains the clean lines of the System 6, while increasing levels of comfort and practicality with a more scratch-resistant internal sun visor, a more robust visor mechanism designed to make operation with gloved hands easier, improved ventilation control on the chin, and a revised spoiler for better aerodynamics. BMW says it has a unique chin bar pivot which reduces the size of the helmet when the chin bar is upright. Weighing in at 1.57kg, the ECE 22-05 homologated Evo is a quiet lid, with noise levels registering at 84-86 dBA at 62 mph. The helmet comes ready for installation of the BMW Communication system, offering a Bluetooth connection to the BMW Navigator IV sat-nav, music players, mobile phones and other BMW helmets.
