BMW Other description

2009 BMW F650GS (Twin) Low Suspension, This very low mileage 2009 F650GS-Low twin is barely used and in 'near new' condition. It has the 'Low Suspension' option meaning it is set up for riders who want both feet on the ground at a stop - perfect for shorter riders! It's also equipped with ABS, heated handgrips and on board computer. The F650GS is a comfortable, all-around, go-anywhere, fun bike. The engine actually displaces 800cc not 650. It features a counterbalanced two cylinder engine yielding 71 hp and 6-speed transmission. It's tuned to run on 'regular' gasoline further enhancing the value of a bike that gets over 50 mpg! It's a perfect all-around bike because it's at home off-road and on the freeway a great commuter that can be packed up for a weeks cross-country vacation or a weekend ride on the local back roads - paved or not. Eugene Laverty did everything he could, scoring a pair of race wins but it was not enough as Tom Sykes rode smartly and conservatively at the season finale in Spain, securing his first ever World Superbike Championship. Sykes landed in Jerez with a 37-point lead over Laverty and a 38-point lead over Sylvain Guintoli. While Laverty battled Marco Melandri to win Race One, Sykes coasted comfortably in third for most of the race to score 16 points, enough to clinch the title.

The official regulations currently require a minimum of 125 units produced for an initial homologation inspection, 500 units produced by June 30 of the current year, 1,000 units by the end of the current year and 2,000 units by the end of the following year.
