BMW Other description

2009 BMW F 800 GS, F800GS One owner, all maintenance performed, everything documented. 91K miles. Fully loaded version (ABS, Computer, etc.). There is no way to ride an 800GS for less! Same year bikes with fewer miles sell for almost twice the asking price. (I know of a dealer who sold one for 9K with 50K miles and admitted it was in bad shape) Included: BMW Vario Side Cases with one-lock system Acrapovic slip on exhaust (original part of sale, brand new, never used) Booster Plug Panel mounted Gerbing Style power outlet BMW Center Stand Scott Oiler (with enough oil to last a life time) New or recently renewed: Alternator (3 months ago) Starter Motor (new) Radiator Fan (4 months ago, used part) Rear Tire (new) Rear Shock (new)(one year manufacturer warranty) Rear wheel bearings (little over 1 year ago) Front wheel bearings (new) Stearing head bearings (1 year ago) Clutch cable (10 months ago) Life time gas mileage: 49 mpg (high 65, low 43) Used as: primarily commuter bike, occasional day trips Tire tips: Continental Trail Attack I would get almost 20K miles out of a set. Metzler Tourance Next might be better, but I havent tried them. Chain tips: Scott oiler is THE answer. The chain (D.I.D. best quality available, changed together with sprockets) has about 12K miles on it, and needed only two adjustments. With the oiler and proper care, I guestimate another 20K miles of life on that chain. Damage I: The bike was dropped twice at very low speed when I first got it. All damage is purely cosmetic: windshield, scratches & and right side panel (see pictures). Damage II: the bike had originally a BMW Vario Topcase, but the mounting bracket broke off and the case went flying. The broken mounting bracket is still attached (see pictures). The bike is in excellent operating condition as far as I can tell. Camshaft tensioner and valves have been replaced two years ago, engine is running very strong with booster plug. Im selling because someone made me an offer for another bike that I just could not refuse. Sold as is, loving hands only. $5,500.00 5163573153

Will the road-going RCV look like this?

Thu, 25 Oct 2012

Honda announced in a dry-as-you-like press release that a new bike was coming.  Not another motorcycle-cum-medical aid like the DN-01 or Integra, this is going to be a proper bike. A bike in a similar vein to previous bikes in the RC series, the RC30, RC45 and RC51, aimed squarely at winning races. So what's it going to look like?
