2005 BMW K S, This bike is in excellent condition always garage kept and NEVER dropped. I hate to part with it but I just dont ride it anymore. Most of the mileage has come on long trips. All service has been done by the dealer on schedule (service was just completed and new Metzeler Sportec M3 tires added.) The bike has ABS, ESA and heated grips. BMW Names Schaller New Head of Motorcycle Development
Fri, 28 Feb 2014BMW has appointed Karl Viktor Schaller as its new head of BMW Motorrad development. Schaller will replace Christian Landerl who headed motorcycle development since November 2008. Schaller studied mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Munich before becoming a scientific assistant at the research institute for gear wheels and gear manufacturing.
Moto 3, Oral Engineering and the 2012 BMW S1000RR
Thu, 01 Mar 2012KTM and Honda may have been the main players at recent Jerez Moto 3 test but GP newcomers, Oral Engineering, weren’t too far behind with our very own Danny Webb posting the 15th best time. Italian based Oral are supplying engines to Mahindra Racing (Danny & Marcel Schrotter) and Ambroggio Next Racing (Simone Grotzki & Giulian Pedone). Mahindra have their motor housed in an all new, Italian tubular steel chassis, while Ambroggio have gone down the more economic route of using their 2011 Aprilia RSW 125 chassis.
2013 BMW C600 Sport Recalled in Canada for Loose Fairings
Tue, 04 Dec 2012BMW‘s maxi-scooters have only just started going on sale in North America and already there’s a recall for the 2013 BMW C600 Sport in Canada. According to Transport Canada, the fairing side panels on certain BMW C600 Sport scooters can loosen and detach while moving at very high speeds. In such a situation, the detached fairing poses a hazard to the rider and passenger as well as other vehicles and bystanders.
