BMW Other description
2003 BMW K1200LT, K1200 LT doesnt sacrifice performance for comfort.Buffeted from the weather by a wind-tunnel tested fairing which directs turbulence behind you, the sleek, sexy K 1200LT provides surprising comfort and performance, even to seasoned riders. Whether you re listening to the wind whistle by or playing a theme song to your journey on the 8-speaker sound system, the miles keep rolling by giving you no reason to even think of home.
Like a royal chariot drawn by 100 horses, the K1200 LT doesn t sacrifice performance for comfort any more than a rider is willing to give up a moment of the ride. You ll have 85lb-ft of torque firing from an engine with virtually no vibration. Comfort (heated grips) and capacity (up to a 500lb load) will keep you on the road as long as you want. Add to this the security of BMW s ABS II and an electronic reverse gear and you ll have no reason to ever head back.

BMW reported a record second quarter with sales of 40,209 motorcycles for the three months ended June 30, 2013. For the year to date, BMW has sold 64,941 motorcycles, also a record for first half sales in the company’s 90 years in the motorcycle business (those numbers however do include 1,110 Husqvarna motorcycles sold in the first quarter before the brand was acquired by Pierer Industries.) The record half comes in the face of a worldwide decline of 7.1% for motorcycles 500cc and larger over the first six months.Wed, 19 Jun 2013 00:00:00 -0700
Transport Canada announced a recall for the 2011-2013 BMW F800GS and the 2013 F700GS because of a problem with the kickstand ignition cut-off switch. The switch is designed to turn off the engine when the stand is down and the motorcycle is shifted into gear; this prevents the motorcycle from being ridden with the kickstand deployed. On certain BMW F800GS and F700GS models however, the cut-off switch can loosen and become damaged.Tue, 05 Nov 2013 00:00:00 -0800
We were one of two US motorcycle publications to attend the unveiling of the 2014 BMW nineT in Munich a few weeks ago. The unique roadster was designed to both embody and celebrate the 90 years of BMW motorcycles by emphasizing the archetypical form of BMW’s qualities. Now, as part of the EICMA 2013 show, the rest of the world media and the public who are lucky enough to be in Milan get a chance to throw a leg over one.
