BMW Recalls Several Models in Canada for Potential Fuel Leaks
Thu, 19 Dec 2013Transport Canada has announced a recall on 18 BMW models across several model years spanning from 2005 to 2012 because of a risk of fuel leaks (the full list of models and model years is below). As of this posting, no recall has been announced for the U.S. but the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) currently has an investigation open for a similar issue, potentially affecting 45,588 BMW motorcycles.
EICMA 2013: 2014 BMW R1200RT Revealed

There are so many new bikes coming out at the 2013 EICMA show, it was hard enough to narrow it down to just 10, but that doesn’t excuse us forgetting BMW is adding another model powered by the new R1200GS‘ liquid-cooled boxer engine. BMW Warns of Potential Defect in 2014 R1200RT Suspension
Thu, 05 Jun 2014BMW is issuing a warning to owners of the 2014 R1200RT with the Dynamic ESA option about a potential defect with the rear suspension. No formal recall has been announced at the moment; BMW is calling it a precautionary measure, though that may change in time or depending on the market. According to BMW, the piston rod of the rear spring strut could break.
