1998 BMW R Series R, Custom painted 1998 BMW R1100R in Laguna Seca blue with top case and color matched luggage. The bike has been completely gone through and runs perfectly. Recently cleaned the injectors and installed a new fuel filter and pump, in addition to a full service. Normally BMWs are set up for shorter people, this one is perfect if you are taller like me (6'+). Q3 2013 US Motorcycle Sales Results
Fri, 01 Nov 2013Motorcycle and scooter sales in the U.S. in 2013 remain consistent with last year’s figures, according to data released by the Motorcycle Industry Council. Several manufacturers blamed poor weather for the poor start this year, and the rebounding sales in the third quarter helped to negate the slow sales from earlier in the year.
BMW Helps Vertically Challenged

Historically, if a pint-sized person wanted to get into the hobby of motorcycling, their choices were limited to bikes like the Suzuki Marauder, Ninja 250 or HD Sportster (the thought alone makes my back hurt.) BMW Motorrad now has good news for riders who either need or simply prefer a lower seat height, but do not want to compromise on model choice. BMW is the first motorcycle manufacturer to launch a range of models that can be ordered from the factory with lowered suspension – to provide customers with low seat height options.
Kymco to Supply BMW with i3 Electric Car Range Extender and New 400cc Scooter Engine
Fri, 25 Jan 2013The automotive world has been buzzing of late about BMW‘s upcoming i3 electric car having an optional range extending gas-powered motorcycle engine. As our sister site Autoguide.com reports, the i3 will be available with an optional two-cylinder BMW motorcycle engine to power a generator which can recharge the electric motor and extend the vehicle’s range to 250 miles compared to a range of 60-90 miles relying just on the battery. It turns out that two-cylinder motorcycle engine will actually be provided to BMW by Taiwanese manufacturer Kymco.
