Description
If you don't know this bike, it's an incredibly versatile sport-touring motorcycle. I ride the mountains every weekend and have to say that I've never been passed by another biker. . .I suppose there was that one time, two Ducatis, a 748 and a 999 riding together. And, that holds true when I'm riding two-up with my daughter. The suspension on this thing is phenomenal, it holds an incredibly solid line in deep turns.

As to the touring, early in the summer I rode to San Diego from Denver. Left on a Friday late afternoon and returned on a Monday evening....And, I'm old and 6'5". It's a sportier and faster version of an FJR1300, Triumph Trophy, and Kawasaki Concours.

Also, note that the 2007s don't have the second gear gearbox issues that the 2006s have.

I live near Denver...this is a great place to fly and then ride back home. I'm happy to pick you up at the airport and get you to the bike.

Bonneville Salt Flats Record-Setting BMW S1000RR To Be Auctioned For Charity

Mon, 21 Jul 2014

Jack Broomall holds eight different motorcycle land speed records, set at the world-famous Bonneville Salt Flats on a variety of bikes. The records are cherished, as are the machines. But Broomall won’t think twice about auctioning his BMW S1000RR later this month, as a donation to the Austin Hatcher Foundation (AHF) for Pediatric Cancer.

BSB 2012; Mystic Mac investigates

Tue, 03 Jan 2012

In my opinion, the smartest move in the BSB off season has to be Michael Laverty moving from Swan Yamaha to HM Plant Honda. With a ban on electronics for 2012, and in particular traction control, WFR's Graham Gowland has already proved to Laverty how competitive an EVO spec Fireblade can be - so I’m tipping both these riders to be bang on the money at the Brands Hatch season opener in April. Unlike BMW, Kawasaki and Yamaha, Honda have deliberately developed their road-going Superbike without electronics to give a user friendly feel with good mechanical traction, so it’ll be interesting to see how the opposition copes with their high-tech trickery stripped off.

2013 BMW C600 Sport Recalled in Canada for Loose Fairings

Tue, 04 Dec 2012

BMW‘s maxi-scooters have only just started going on sale in North America and already there’s a recall for the 2013 BMW C600 Sport in Canada. According to Transport Canada, the fairing side panels on certain BMW C600 Sport scooters can loosen and detach while moving at very high speeds. In such a situation, the detached fairing poses a hazard to the rider and passenger as well as other vehicles and bystanders.
