BMW K-Series description

The King of Touring Models and one of the most reliable bikes on the road. This bike is beautiful, black and silver. While big and solid and smooth on the open road, it still will zoom you around town comfortably. It is packed with features: Crusie Control, 2 CD players,( single and 6-Disc changer), On-board factory Bike Computer, remote music control, hand and seat warmers, telescoping windshield (keeps you dry in rain at highway speeds, or lower it into sport position to feel the wind in your face, plenty of room for luggage, rear top trunk holds 2 helmets comfortably, matching and integrated side saddle bags give additional storage and serve to lower your center or gravity.  The Bike has ABS brakes need to be repaired, my local dealer estimates $2200 to repair the brakes. This is the reason the bike is selling so cheaply, I have been out of work and don't have the money to get it fixed. Kelly Blue estimates fair market value if was in excellent condition at $7020, if you are willing to have some work done on this you can get a great motorcycle at well below market value, might even be able to flip it if you are so inclined The bike is located in Tampa, FL Buyer will be responsible for getting the bike to your destination. I did drive it back from the mechanic and it was a scary ride, I recommend shipping or towing to your destination.  The Bike will also need a new battery, this one is drained due to lack of riding, and all the onboard electrical goodies that need to be charged.  Good Luck Bidding

Fri, 09 Sep 2011

Two-time World Superbike Champion James Toseland announced his immediate retirement from motorcycle racing due to a debilitating injury to his right wrist. Signed with the BMW Motor Italia racing team, Toseland has been limited to just seven of 20 races in this season’s WSBK Championship due to the wrist injury initially suffered during a private test at Spain’s Aragon circuit in March. After undergoing an operation for the injury, Toseland made two attempts at returning to racing, first at the Miller Motorsports Park round in May and again at the Silverstone round in July.

EICMA 2012: BMW Announces New Boxer to Mark 90th Anniversary

Tue, 13 Nov 2012

Over the summer, we came across spy photos of a new naked version of the BMW S1000RR and a new air-cooled boxer roadster and hoped at least one of the two would be unveiled at either Intermot or the EICMA. Intermot came and went without a word and now EICMA is upon us we have … well, several words but no new model. Yet.
