BMW K-Series description

Selling my restored and custom BMW K75T with just over 40k on the odo.  Few K75T's were sold and was a US-only touring model with a taller handlebar, heated grips, windscreen, touring bags, engine crash bars, fog and driving light and a rear top case.  Recently displayed at the Quail Motorcycle Gathering in Monterey (see pics).  No award given, but only excellent examples of motorcycles can be displayed at the Quail.
Restoration included replacement or restoration of all wear items, including $1,400 in a new clutch, plates, rear main and transmission seal, alternator drive seal, and starter sprag clutch (see receipt).  Tires are new as is the brake master cylinder and many rubber and age-depleted items.
Customization was limited to painting the frame and other parts yellow and the matching seat.  Returning it to stock would only require repainting of those items.  All other stock parts are provided.
Nothing needed - runs/rides great and it is ready to ride.  Selling because I have another bike and too many other toys.
Pick-up or shipping is buyers responsibility.
Payment available either through PayPal or cash if bike is picked up (and have a great trip riding your new bike home!)
Sold as is, no warranty expressed or implied.

BMW HP4 Gets New ABS that Works in Corners

Fri, 18 Jul 2014

BMW has developed a new anti-lock braking system designed to work when a motorcycle is leaned over into a corner. The new ABS Pro system will initially be offered as a retrofit upgrade on the BMW HP4 sportbike, but it’s likely only a matter of time before the technology becomes available on other models. The ABS Pro uses the same sensors already employed by BMW’s Dynamic Traction Control and Dynamic Damping Control electronic suspension, both of which are already available on the HP4.

WSBK 2012: Assen Results

Mon, 23 Apr 2012

The Netherlands hosted a dramatic weekend of World Superbike racing that featured a red-flagged wet race, several riders crashing while leading, a first-time race winner, a photo finish between two teammates and the reigning World Champion finishing out of the points because of a poor choice of tires. The 2011 WSBK Champion Carlos Checa arrived at Assen with the lead in the championship and a three-race winning streak, but opting to run wet tires in Race Two cost him the lead and may have contributed to a crash that severely injured Liberty Racing‘s Brett McCormick. BMW continues to set sales records, announcing the sale of 115,215 motorcycles in 2013. This marks the third consecutive year of record sales, following the 106,358 motorcycles in 2012 and 104,286 motorcycles sold in 2011. We already knew BMW was going to have a banner year last month, when the German manufacturer passed its 2012 figures in just 11 months.
