You are bidding on a well used BMW F800GS.  This motorcycle has taken me all over North America.  It is not the best looking F8 you will find but it is well maintained and you will not cry when you drop it.  It is ready to ride as is.  Kelly Blue Book trade in value is $5380 and retail value is $7790.  NADA suggested list price is $11,395, low retail is $6485 and average retail is $8535.  I am the only owner, bought new from Diablo BMW.  OEM options include ABS and BMW computer.  There are extras including Sargent seat, tank bag, tool kit, crash bars, highway pegs, kaoko cruise control, and center stand.  I have all receipts and records. Tires have tread left. Last service done 3300 miles ago(due every 6k).  The ignition switch was recently replaced. I have spare front brake pads and inner tubes. Title is clear and registration good thru September.  Haulbikes has a $450 special for shipping anywhere in the country.

Tue, 05 Nov 2013

The R1200RT has gone liquid cooled, inheriting the new boxer engine with BMW’s “precision cooling” technology from the new R1200GS. But that’s not all that’s changed on the RT as Editor-in-Chief Kevin Duke points out in the video below from the 2013 EICMA show floor. With a new K1600GT-inspired look, more power and a number of factory-installed options, one of our favorite touring bikes is better than ever.   Get the Flash Player to see this player.

Survey Says Harley-Davidson and BMW Motorcycles Less Reliable Than Japanese – But Owners Don’t Care

Tue, 26 Mar 2013

A new survey conducted by the Consumer Reports National Research Center finds BMW and Harley-Davidson  owners are much more likely to report major problems with their motorcycles than owners of Honda, Kawasaki and Yamaha motorcycles. The survey, which will appear on the April 2013 issue of Consumer Reports, says one in three BMW owners reported experiencing a major problem with their bikes in the last four years. Harley-Davidson owners were slightly better, with one in four reporting serious issues.

Used Review: Arai RX-7 Corsair helmet

Thu, 01 Apr 2010

This is the lid that saved me from a face full of road and stopped a big bacon slicer (a front disc) from carving a canyon in the top of my head.  This helmet was transformed from gleaming white accessory to scrap when I got back from taking the new BMW S1000RR to Morocco. A pedestrian ran into me from behind a bus and the two of us hit the ground. She’s okay and so am I apart from getting knocked out and breaking my shoulder.
