Aprilia sxv 550 description

This bike has been kept in a heated garage. No road rash, and never been dropped. Original owner was a Aprilia employee. It was with the first owner that the engine was upgraded to the newer cases, and the 2010 spec fuel maps were loaded. The bike also has the cold weather start option installed, and a fender eliminator kit. I have installed aftermarket triple clamps, Acerbis hand guards, the larger 12 liter fuel tank and appropriate saddle, Xentec high intensity bulb system in the head lamp, aftermarket oil filter cover that has five perforated fins for more oil cooling capacity and a carbon fiber counter shaft sprocket guard. These parts came off of a donor bike that I parted out, so I do not know the manufacturers of the parts. Oil changes have been done every 300 miles, and I just recently changed the engine and transmission oils and filter. The wheels are straight and true, the tires are almost new, the rear is 90-95%. The battery is good, and the bike runs very good. There are no issues. I have two other bikes in the garage, and I want to do some updates on those, so something has to give.

Aprilia Files Appeal for Monza Race 2 WSBK Results

Thu, 16 May 2013

As expected, Aprilia has filed an appeal with the International Motorcycling Federation‘s International Disciplinary Court for the finish to the second race of the past weekend’s World Superbike Championship round at Italy’s Monza circuit. The race ended in controversy stemming from Kawasaki‘s Tom Sykes running wide on a corner and missing a chicane on the final lap. Sykes was in third place at the time ahead of Aprilia‘s Sylvian Guintoli, and was able to return to the track ahead of Guintoli, crossing the finish less than a second ahead of the Aprilia rider to take third place.

For sale? Zero-mile Aprilia RS250 Cup

Mon, 20 Jan 2014

This zero-mile Aprilia RS250 Cup belongs to a former colleague of mine and he might be willing to sell it. Originally intended for the USA where they ran an RS250 Cup series, this bike was purchased from New Orleans and then shipped to the UK, where it's now in storage just outside of London. Due to the fact it's never turned a wheel in anger, it's something of a one-off.

Get On: Bitten by the bug (again)

Wed, 15 Jun 2011

"Hello, my name is Robin and I have no confidence in riding motorcycles." It's ironic really, I'm the next generation from a family of riders, I work with bikes and am pretty much an obsessive for racing but somewhere in my motorcycling life I completely lost all confidence in riding bikes and my ability. Developing something I've never really had for them; fear. Setting the scene.
