Aprilia TUONO description

2010 Aprilia Tuono 1000 R, MINT 2010 Tuono V-twin w. upgrades! LOW miles, warranty! - This 2010 Aprilia Tuono is in excellent condition. Very low miles, needs nothing. This bike has Akrapovic titanium and carbon slip ons and has been re-mapped for the exhaust. It also has an OEM passenger cowl and Puig tall windscreen. You wont find a nicer Tuono! This bike carries a factory warranty until 2/2015. The streetfight-ready Tuono R may not have the fairing or body cladding of a conventional racing machine, but it’s stripped down and exposed aluminum alloy frame is all the evidence a rider needs to know the bike’s true DNA. Designed for precision, with a seating position that translates into maximum control for the front end, the Tuono R, like its Factory sibling, has been engineered with all of Aprilia’s racing know-how. Massive Brembo Gold brakes, a Showa upside down front fork, a Sachs rear monoshock and a wealth of other premium components all combine to form a formidable competitor that’s a pleasure to own and ride every day.

Race Bradley Smith at any MotoGP venue

Tue, 02 Feb 2010

BRITISH RACING ace Bradley Smith has helped launch the new Capcom MotoGP 09/10 video game, at the Silverstone circuit in England. The Aspar Aprilia rider took on several journalists in a series of grand prix races featured on the new game. A new Tissot MotoGP watch was awarded to the journalist who beat Bradley, on time in a three lap race at the Mugello circuit in Italy, where Bradley won his second grand prix of the season last year. "It's a brilliant game not only for the racing at all the MotoGP venues, including the new circuits at the Balatonring in Hungary and Silverstone in England, but all aspects of grand prix racing including sponsorship, livery and PR," explained Smith who was joined by fellow British riders Scott Redding and Danny Webb, at the launch which was held at the prestigious BRDC suite at the Silverstone circuit, that will host the British Grand Prix this year. "There were some serious game players, there and I'm glad I don't have to meet them out on the track."

Pikes Peak 87th Annual International Hill Climb [pics and video]

Fri, 15 May 2009

Named after a man by the name of Zebulon Pike, an explorer who led an expedition to the area in 1806, Pikes Peak is home to the second oldest motorsports race in America second only to the Indianapolis 500. First completed in 1916, this year marks the 87th running of the “Race to the Clouds.” If the math doesn’t add up, this is because there were several years that the event did not run over the course of its 93 year history. The 12.4 mile trek up the mountain consists of 156 treacherous turns to an elevation of 14,110 feet.
