Aprilia SportCity 250 description

I am the first owner; scooter runs great and maintained well; kept indoor in a climate controlled garage throughout the years. Bought it new in 2011; maintained regularly at Dunn's Import Vespa Madison by Jeremy. I had a little accident with it, but the insurance has paid to replace every part that was broken, dented or even scratched. The bike was back to mint condition after the repairs that took place in 2013.

The 2009 Aprilia Sportcity 250 is sporty and a thrill to ride. It tops out around 95 mph while getting close to 75 mpg with a 160 lbs rider in the city. While riding in the city, there are two things that make this bike a must: the dual front disk brakes and the quick acceleration of the solid Piaggio motor. The scooter is easily able to leave cars behind at the stop light and the brakes make it easy to stop when that person cuts you off and stops. This is perfect for the Belt-Line Hwy 12/14 commuters; the scooter zips through the belt-line, keeping up with traffic and even able to pass cars with two riders on board.

2010 Aprilia RSV4R Engine Failure Delays Press Launch [video]

Wed, 28 Oct 2009

Aprilia cut short its launch event for the new RSV4R at Italy’s Mugello circuit as not one, not two, not three, not even four but FIVE pre-production models suffered engine failure. Motorcycle.com contributor Tor Sagen was at Mugello in Tuscany and was scheduled to do a few laps on the world-class circuit on the RSV4R, a lower-spec version of the Aprilia RSV4 Factory. Tor reports the engine problems were being attributed to the conrods from the first batch of 50 pre-production engines.

WSBK 2013: Monza Race Report

Mon, 13 May 2013

Eugene Laverty and Marco Melandri split a pair of victories at Monza but the most biggest news from the World Superbike weekend was a strange series of appeals after Race Two that saw Tom Sykes finish third, relegated to fourth and then reinstated on the final step of the podium. The unusual mix-up occurred after Sykes, sitting in third place, ran off track and into the run off area on Turn 5 on his final lap. The Kawasaki rider returned to the track again in third place where he finished ahead of Aprilia‘s Sylvain Guintoli.
