2012 Aprilia Dorsoduro 1200 First Impressions

Our European Correspondent Tor Sagen is in Sicily, Italy, this week testing the Aprilia Dorsoduro 1200. We’ll have a full review coming up but first here are Tor’s first impressions. I’ve just finished testing the updated version of Aprilia‘s Dorsoduro 1200.

Improving the monster: Aprilia will upgrade the RSV4 Factory sportbike

The second generation of the Aprilia RSV4 sportbike will be released around 2021, but for now the company continues to upgrade this impressive motorcycle. As part of last year's modernization, the RSV4 Factory modification debuted with an engine that increased the capacity to 1078cc that can develop 217hp at 13,200 rpm and 122Nm and 11,000 rpm. Now, according to the current information, the monster will receive a semi-active Öhlins suspension and a new color scheme.

Wesll Quad Prototype

A number of manufacturers have tinkered with various three-wheeled motorcycle applications over the years. Companies like Piaggio, Can-Am, Brudeli and even Harley-Davidson have produced unique trikes with ranging levels of success. The Wesll Corporation is attempting to do one better, literally, as it develops a four-wheeled mechanism that could be applied to many different kinds of bikes.
