 Description:
For more than 6 years now this special Aprilia model has been proving that Aprilia really can build a bike to do it all. With sporty yet compliant Sachs suspension front and rear, the Shiver is as at home on your favorite twisty road as it is negotiating your morning commute. Easily configurable for sport touring or track day riding, the Shiver boasts a good sized catalog of official Aprilia accessories for a wide spectrum of riders. Rated at 90 crankshaft horsepower and with more than 50 ft lbs of torque, this is one 750 that will never fail to put a smile on your face. The Shiver was the first Aprilia to feature the now standard Ride-by-Wire throttle system which delivers remarkable fuel economy as well as electronically smoothed starts for less experienced riders. Despite a seemingly tall 31.8 inch saddle height, the Shiver has proven to be an easy bike to live with due to it's saddle having a smartly waisted narrow section near the tank. If you are looking for a one bike to do it all model, but want the exclusivity and superb ride that Aprilia is known for, then the Shiver may be the bike for you!

2014 WSBK – Portimao Results

Mon, 07 Jul 2014

Kawasaki‘s Tom Sykes extended his championship lead while a Race Two collision between Aprilia teammates Sylvain Guintoli and Marco Melandri provided drama in the World Superbike Championship round at Portugal’s Portimao track. Sykes qualified on the pole in a sun-draped Superpole session but the clouds rolled in on race day, forcing teams to plan for mixed weather. An overcast sky presided over a dry Race One, leading to a mix of tire choices but all of the racers switched to wet tires for Race Two that saw the scheduled 20-lap length reduced to 18 laps.
