2010 Aprilia Dorsoduro 750 Factory video

Thu, 11 Mar 2010

FULLY ADJUSTABLE suspension, Brembo brakes, wavy discs, fly-by-wire throttle - there's plenty of hi-tech stuff on Aprilia's 2010 Dorsudoro 750 Factory, and here's a promo video of the bike in action. The Aprilia's 750cc V-twin engine thumps out 92bhp in standard trim, which should propel the bike to a top speed of around 130mph (if you can hang on). 2010 Aprilia Dorsudoro specs: • 90° V twin layout• Liquid cooling• Tri-Map engine management and ride-by-wire throttle control• Very over-square bore to stroke ratio• Four valves per cylinder• Double overhead cam valve timing• Electronic fuel injection with two throttle bodies• Stick-coils integrated in the spark plug caps• Three way catalytic converter and Lambda probe• Hydraulically operated wet clutch

Aprilia Reportedly Developing 250cc Sportbike

Mon, 25 Feb 2013

For a company with such a rich history in motorcycle racing including nine World Championships in the 250cc Grand Prix category, it comes as a bit of a surprise Aprilia does not already have a 250cc sportbike in production. From 1994 to 2007, Aprilia won nine 250cc Grand Prix championships with an impressive roster of riders which includes Valentino Rossi, Max Biaggi, Jorge Lorenzo, Loris Capirossi and Marco Melandri winning titles. Despite making a name for itself racing in the 250cc class, Aprilia does not have a 250cc production sportbike to compete against the likes of the Kawasaki Ninja 250 (and its replacement, the Ninja 300) or the Honda CBR250R.
