Aprilia RSV 1000 R description

2007 Aprilia RSV 1000 R, Exhaust with Power Commander, steering stabilizer, and more! Ready for the street or track! - Aprilia is celebrating its impressive sporting record by giving the RSV new graphics – taken directly from the bike that finished third in the Superstock class at the legendary “Bold’Or”, the most famous 24 hour motorcycle endurance race in the world. In a season when Aprilia is celebrating 200 wins in GP World Championship racing, what better choice of graphics could there be for Aprilia’s top-of-the-range sports model than graphics inspired by the Aprilia AF1 bikes that brought the company its first GP victories in the early 1980s. Endurance racing has provided more than just an unforgettable experience. It has served as a valuable test bench for the latest technical solutions now appearing on Aprilia production bikes. The Aprilia RSV 1000 R is determined to maintain its supremacy as the best sports twin money can buy, for its advanced technology and for its amazing performance. But what counts the most is the fact that the Aprilia RSV 1000 R is still the bike to beat when it comes to ease of riding. Because riders feel so instantly confident on an Aprilia RSV 1000 R, they really can ride at the limits of their abilities and stay totally relaxed too. The benefits are obvious in terms of less physical and mental stress, faster and safer motorcycling and the ability to remain fully concentrated for far longer, factors that contribute to success on the racetrack and safety on the road. Ducati Targeting Aprilia Racing Manager Gigi Dall’Igna

Wed, 09 Oct 2013

Ducati has reportedly signed Aprilia Racing manager Gigi Dall’Igna to take control of its struggling MotoGP program. Neither Ducati Corse or Aprilia Racing have confirmed the reports, but several sources in the European motorsports press such as Motociclismo.it, not to mention a tweet from retired World Superbike Champion Max Biaggi, claim the deal is done. Dall’Igna has been an instrumental figure in Aprilia’s racing success since the manufacturer’s return to WSBK racing with the RSV4 in 2009, helping guide Biaggi to two championships and, pending the result of the 2013 season finale at Jerez, likely three manufacturers titles.

WSBK 2013: Jerez Race Report

Mon, 21 Oct 2013

Eugene Laverty did everything he could, scoring a pair of race wins but it was not enough as Tom Sykes rode smartly and conservatively at the season finale in Spain, securing his first ever World Superbike Championship. Sykes landed in Jerez with a 37-point lead over Laverty and a 38-point lead over Sylvain Guintoli. While Laverty battled Marco Melandri to win Race One, Sykes coasted comfortably in third for most of the race to score 16 points, enough to clinch the title.
