Donington Park and the Roman rebel.

We know the sun always shines on the righteous and that’s exactly what happened last weekend at Donington Park. Yes its good honest people back in charge of the Derbyshire circuit so we saw summer sunshine for Friday’s free practice and also for WSB race two on Sunday. The circuit is better than ever with a new Esses section in place, and while the paddock remains unchanged, work has already started that will see gradual revamp over the year ahead.

2014 WSBK – Donington Results

Tom Sykes and Loris Baz captured a pair of one-two finishes for Kawasaki at England’s Donington Park. The first race saw the reigning World Superbike champion fight his way up from 11th place for the win while Race 2 offered a three-way battle between the two Kawasaki riders and Aprilia‘s Sylvain Guintoli. Guintoli/Aprilia Appeal Denied, WSBK Monza Results Stand

International Motorcycling Federation officials have rejected an appeal from Aprilia and rider Sylvain Guintoli over the controversial finish to the second race of the Monza round of the 2013 World Superbike Championship. The official race finish for Race 2 at Monza stands, with Kawasaki‘s Tom Sykes in third place and Guintoli fourth. More importantly, Sykes hangs on to the 16 championship points he was awarded for the finish while Guintoli receives 13 for finishing fourth.
