Aprilia Other description

What we have here is a brand new, out of the crate 2009 MXV 450! This bike has a 449cc, fuel injected v-twin motor boasting a top of class 60 HP. The MXV comes standard with both a hard and soft ECU mapping, lightweight stainless steel floating discs with Nissin floatin calipers, Marzocchi forks, Sachs monoshock, and a dual titanium exhaust! At low revs and slow speeds, the engine is torquey and tractable, pulling cleanly through technical sections and out of tighter corners. At higher revs and faster speeds, you'd better hold on tight, because this thing is a rocket! Fortunately there's a switch that lets you toggle from Hard to Soft engine maps. -Motorcyclistonline...Newport Italian pays the most for any trade in paid-off or not. Visit our Piaggio flagship Vespa, Aprilia, and Moto Guzzi boutique for all your needs 7 days a week. Aprilia’s Banned AD [Pics and Video]

Fri, 08 May 2009

The Italian motorcycle company Aprilia withdrew this advert following complaints from the Women’s Institute of Spain, whose advertising monitoring wing considered it to be sexist. Tag translation: “The Arrecife Range: Now several sizes smaller”, I thought Europeans were hip to this kind of thing… Check out the uncensored photo and a controversial Aprilia TV AD after the jump. Not so bad.

Small steps to a bright future

Tue, 16 Nov 2010

A small but very significant addition to the BSB paddock in 2010 has been the Racing Steps Foundation GP125 team.  RSF is an organisation founded by wealthy businessman Graham Sharp, to help talented youngsters with no funding make their way up the motorsport ladder. As a boy, Sharpe wanted to become a racing driver but soon realised without a serious amount of cash, this was virtually impossible. He never forgot this dilemma so is now in the business of making dreams come true for young UK racers in Karting, GP2 and Motorcycle Racing.

Piaggio Announces 2011-2014 Business Plan – More Hybrids and Electric Models In the Pipeline

Wed, 14 Dec 2011

The Piaggio Group revealed its business plans for the next three years with a focus on developing fuel efficient engines and introducing new electric motors and hybrid powertrains. Beginning in 2012, Piaggio plans to introduce a new generation of engines with lower emissions and improved fuel economy. Examples include the new 350cc engine introduced in the Piaggio Beverly SportTouring and the fuel-injected 125cc four-stroke, three-valve engine equipped in the Vespa Quarantasei concept (which the company has apparently, and quietly, renamed as the much easier-to-pronounce Vespa 946).
